Hong Kong is melting: hottest July in history

The global average temperature for July 2023 has been confirmed to be the highest on record for any month, with Hong Kong notching up 10 days where temperatures exceeded 35 degrees. Heat warnings were issued multiple times. Outdoor workers were reminded to seek shelter to avoid getting a heat stroke. Government facilities were transformed into centres for citizens to hide from the burning sun.
