Uproar in India amid nationwide protests against CAA, NRC

Since the proposal of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) by PM Narendra Modi in Nov 2019, India has been brimming with indignations.

In New Delhi and Mumbai alone, countless people especially women, students and children congregated in large numbers, organising marches, assemblies and protests to demand for withdrawal of the two legislations deemed as subverting muslims' right to obtain citizenships and the fundamentals of asylum seekers from neighbouring countries. 

National flags of India, portraits of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar have been utilised as the significations for the nationwide movement.
